Brady's flowers, June 2001

...Late Summer nothing.  Digitalis, (foxglove) is a biennial species.  The first year, the digitalis showed only vegetative growth, looking much like a cabbage, but in the spring of 2001, the second full growth year, the plants started to get vertical and put out spikes of flowers that are towering toward ten feet, in White, Purple, Magenta, lavender, and pink.
