This piece was produced by a professional glass artist living in the Seattle area.   Signed works by this artist are shown in Seattle area galleries and are sold for many hundreds of dollars.  He is very selective in choosing which pieces to sign.  An inconsistency in pattern, a bubble, a form that is not what he sought, imperfect color play, or any small feature of production that belies anything less than the perfection sought, and the piece goes unsigned.

Condition Report for this piece:

No chips, cracks, or scratches.

This platter has the pontil remnant in place and would need to be ground and drilled to be used as a hanging or tabletop lampshade.  See pictures.

In the aventurine interior, there are a few spots of raised glass.  They appear in the photo as a different color, they are a slightly raised puddle of the clear glass over the same color aventurine glitter glass. The largest measures 1.25".   See pictures.

There are no chips, cracks, or scratches.
