Mouth Blown Earth and Ocean Cased Art Glass Vase

Experimental cased piece with Pattern inside and out, no thick exterior clear layer.  This vessel has ocean tone blue pattern on the inside and earth tones over a yellow base on the outside.  Different from all of the other pieces from this artist with similar decoration, this piece has two unique features, a pattern inside and out, and the outside shows the colored bar and frit decoration with no clear lens layer over it.
Produced by a professional Seattle glass artist.

This piece is blown in stages with multiple overlays.

Piece measures  wide.  It weighs   pounds  ounces.

This piece was produced by a professional glass artist living in the Seattle area.   Signed works by this artist are shown in Seattle area galleries and are sold for many hundreds of dollars.  He is very selective in choosing which pieces to sign.  An inconsistency in pattern, a bubble, a form that is not what he sought, imperfect color play, or any small feature of production that belies anything less than the perfection sought, and the piece goes unsigned.

Condition Report for this piece:

This piece has silvered directly around the pontil on the bottom of the piece.  This is caused by heat reduction of the chemical coloring compounds in the bar and frit decoration.  It results in a silvery, iridescent luster over the affected area.  The remnant of the pontil is in place and the piece would need to be ground on the base to stand up straight.  No chips, cracks, or scratches.
