Mouth Blown Art Glass Vase

This piece is blown in stages with multiple overlays.  It features a bold red solid interior, a white layer, the design layer in cobalt blue and emerald green, and a thick, crystal clear lens layer.  Lip is ground and finely polished.

Piece stands 4.5" tall by 9.25" wide.  It weighs 7 pounds.

This piece was produced by a professional glass artist living in the Seattle area.   Signed works by this artist are shown in Seattle area galleries and are sold for many hundreds of dollars.  He is very selective in choosing which pieces to sign.  An inconsistency in pattern, a bubble, a form that is not what he sought, imperfect color play, or any small feature of production that belies anything less than the perfection sought, and the piece goes unsigned.

I do not know why this piece went unsigned.  The colors pop, the lip is finely polished, there are no condition problems.  Perhaps there is "too much" white showing through the blue and green swirls on the bottom of the piece.  See pictures.
