By special arrangement, the current Gallery Show features a stunning large canvas by Pennsylvania Impressionist William Henry Singer, Jr. “Winter Night, Norway” was painted in 1921 and represents an outstanding nocturnal view of Cecilian Krone (Crown of Gold) near Olden, Norway. The gallery represents the world’s largest private collection of paintings by Singer. Each is available to view by appointment. A summary of the artist’s paintings can be found here.
American Impressionist George Gardner Symons is represented this month by a sumptuous landscape, “Poppy Fields.” Important dutch painter Evert Pieters contributes a charming view of a young mother spinning yarn with her two small children. Also in the lineup currently, Clifford Silsby, Cornelius van Leemputten, Alois Arnegger, Balthasar Paul Ommeganck, Georges Jeannin, Ken Ottinger, and Roland Strasser. Of course, any painting found on the website can be viewed by appointment.
The Gallery is currently hosting an extensive showing of works by itinerant plein air artist David Ohlerking. (below) David has been portraying scenes of Chestertown and Kent County, Maryland in his distinctive and energetic style. Drop in to see them and breathe in the alluring aroma of fresh oil paint. Represented by galleries in Doylestown, PA and Las Vegas, David’s paintings have a very strong following worldwide on the internet.
